Formerly based in the Isle of Colonsay, Rosalind recently relocated to North Wales.

Much of Rosalind’s work has been inspired by the remote and rugged beauty of the Hebrides. Her work incorporates seascapes and landscapes, sometimes featuring historic buildings and homes, – these have been popular as commissions.

Her Colonsay inspired work is still available both on this website and Scottish Island Gifts, and she continues to take on commissions.

Originally from north of Manchester, her close proximity to the Pennines, juxtaposed with the built environment has fostered a love of the wild moorlands and outdoor spaces contrasted with the man made environment of the urban sprawl.

Rosalind has a background in community art and has worked across age groups from toddlers to adult community groups  on mosaic projects, murals and outdoor sculptures. A significant achievement was a 800 foot long floral mural in Merseyside.  Every child in a large primary school participated in the design finished mural.

As well as being happy to hear from anyone interested in a commission for a painting, Rosalind has had several glass engraving commissions for weddings, birthdays and celebrations and would also welcome a query about a similar project.
